Unconditionally return???

I have been an eBay since the year 2000, this is the first time I feel an imminent danger operation on eBay's platform as a seller platform. Here is what happened:
My buyer shortly after made a request for return due to a reason "This item is twice the size that I thought it would be..."., and I stated that the size / dimensions were given for item , therefore I will not accept return....

eBay somehow regardless solved this case in buyer's favor, and I have to come up all the fees and return shipping.
Which part of America is this?!

You agreed to the eBay user agreement when you chose to use eBay to sell your product.  It makes sellers responsible for return shipping and a refund if a buyer makes a complaint that an item is not a described, even when he buyer is lying.  You should NEVER refuse a return request.  You also got a nasty defect on your account that, if repeated, could cause eBay to stop you from selling ever again.

Unconditionally return???

Yep, they can return for any reason -- changed their mind, ordered wrong color, dog doesn't like it, etc.

When this happens I BLOCK the buyer - he/she will not cost me more time and money in the future!!

Unconditionally!!!! Unconditionally!!!!

With the new MP, "Beginning September 14th 2020, in most cases where an eBay return shipping label is available to the buyer, eBay will automatically accept return requests and provide the return shipping label. Your approval and acceptance will not be required."

So, returns for any reason will be approved and a shipping label will be purchased by ebay and charged to the seller before the seller is aware of a return coming back. WOW~~ Am I missing anything??

Yes, this: It's not new -- that's the way it has been for years (plural).

Man... if I had a nickel for every time this happened to me. You don't wanna know.

Did the buyer file with the reason that the item is incorrect, not as described, or anything to suggest that it's the sellers fault and not the buyers? If the buyer did to that, be sure to report them to ebay for filing a false reason.
