I started this thread at the time:
Right now the last tracking post is on May 9 : PACKAGE RETURN NOTICE GENERATED
I've had no messages from the buyer and nothing from the USPS. I paid for insurance as well as a signature. I'm wondering if its possible for the USPS to have held the package after an attempted delivery then handed it to the buyer without scanning ? Never heard of this before. At the very least I'm owed for a signature that never happened and or an insurance claim.
Any thoughts ?

The package is being sent back to you. Packages being returned to sender usually move slower through USPS than items originally shipped.
When you do receive the item back you can file for a refund of unused signature confirmation here>>>Refunds Signature Confirmation

Three weeks to go less than 300 miles ? Yikes. The PO told me if it was being returned it would be reflected in their tracking info.

I t seems like I see them in about a month. They seem to be LOW priority.

They do not always scan them on the return trip and it can take a while. I would double check the timeline for when you can file a claim for a lost package with USPS and do it.

I have up to 60 days. I find it odd that the buyer hasnt contacted me especially since we did after a week and I told him he had to pick it up.....

An update (and closure) - The buyer picked up the package a full 6 weeks after delivery was attempted. And I never was bale to get a straight correct answer form the PO.
