The item was shipped on July 6th with an ebay label. The USPS site shows only that it arrived in Fresno on Thursday. I've just not seen that before. Do I have a leg to stand on if that INR comes? It was sent to the Paypal address provided. This is one of several shipping hiccups lately. Another is unit unavailable in PR. And several just... floating.

It means it was sent to the wrong destination post office. It will be sent back to the distribution center and then dispatched to the correct post office.

There was a discussion about such a situation and I found this post:
I've been through this with a couple of my buyers. When the tracking says "missent" it means that something happened in the USPS handling of it...like it went down the wrong conveyor belt and got on the truck to New York instead of the truck to California. They caught the package at the wrong facility and are re-routing it back to where it's supposed to be. They should update the tracking along the way.
I had a buyer ask me - "It says YOU missent it! What address did you send it to?" I had to explain that it wasn't ME; his package was delivered in the next couple of days.

I had a package going to a buyer here in Indiana that lives 50 miles away. I mailed his package and it went to Pennsylvania and then to Michigan. Took 15 days to get to him.

Yeah, It was going to Madera, CA so probably: "Oops, wrong truck".
It'd be great if a scan said that....

Yeah, you'd think they would make it more clear. It sounds a lot more ominous than it is! I've had missent packages corrected in the same day.

Yeah I have always thought that missent should be missdirected. But they don't ask me.
