USPS is not scanning my items until three days later and caused my seller status to drop

I had a top rated status, but USPS for the last month have not been scanning my packages until three days after I drop them off, causing them to be late.  What can I do?

We contacted UPS. Set up an account. Negotiated rates and asked about UPS Surepost and three months later we are a Top Rated Seller again.... Why you ask?

They stop everyday and pickup at the same time without fail. They scan every package when they pickup and they have delivered within the time frame our customers are told to expect. Do we pay a little more? Yes...... but so far it has been worth it,  because it frees up our time and we don't have to worry if packages are going to be picked up or not etc.....

Before we were shipping USPS and the carrier wouldn't pick up half the time, we would have to chase them down outside the store if we saw them shoving and stuffing packages in our business mailbox, we are a busy repair shop/retail store and sometimes wouldn't realize that the packages weren't shipped till it was too late. We don't always know what has to go that day till we ship that morning so scheduling a pickup wasn't an option.

USPS Tracking is something we pay to use, it is a service.. I have explainded that to my carrier.. I know he is picking up 20 packages a day from us, but when your Top rated goes away, now its costing money..  Riot act is the next step with the carrier, since telling our postmaster has had no effect..

I have always dropped EB packages in the drop box with zero issues...until two days ago. One package has had zero scans. In two days. The other had appropriate scans when I checked this morning. When I checked later today there were three "departure" scans from Atlanta. WHAT??? The post office told me there is a new directive that they no longer have to scan third party postage dropped off. Further that her understanding is the PO was going to be using machines to automatically scan. She advised me to wait in line and to get a receipt. This is utterly ridiculous that they no longer are required to scan drop box packages. And they just raised their rates? Unless corrected this will play havoc in the EB community.
