I dropped off a flat rate envelope at the counter of the USPS office in our town. I had already paid postage/adhered label that I printed from Etsy. The amount on it said $5.95. The guy behind the counter said that was wrong... it should be $6.65. I told him it was Ebay/discount rate... is this correct? If it's wrong... why did ebay calculate it as such?! Now I'm noticing it didn't get scanned in to the Post Office after I left. argh!!!

The reg flat rate envelope with ebay discount is $5.75, and the legal flat rate is $6.05.

Also, if want to make sure your package gets scanned, you should wait for a receipt. That's the only guarantee.

We've all been there.

If the postage wasn't enough, the envelope will come back to you. The scans sometimes don't show up for hours, check later it might be there.

When I print labels at the discounted rate, for USPS delivery, I make sure the rate is not displayed on the label. There is a box you can click to display, or not display, the postage rate on the label before printing. Hope this is helpful.
