Hello board members,
I've been selling items on ebay casually for years, and recently picked up activity over the last 3-4 months. At any given time I usually have at least 2-3 items in transit out there somewhere, primary USPS. I like to check in on their tracking manually every day or two just to keep an eye out for problems.
I've noticed over the last week or so that the tracking updates have been much more sporadic than usual. I'm used to seeing updates available a few hours after an event, or at least overnight, but I'm seeing items go for days without updates (and then occasionally the a multi-entry history will spontaneously get backfilled in at one point a few days late).
I'm curious if anyone else is noticing the same?

It's not recent; been happening for years. USPS site lags, ebay lags worse. Do yourself a favor- quit looking. Customers will let you know if they don't receive (I've shipped 10000+ packages since 2011- 2 'customer' issues with a package that went for a little ride, but they ALL find their way where they belong).

What sort of problems do you expect to find, and what could you do about them if you do discover them? Seems like a lot of effort for only a negative return.

Tracking activity often depends often depends on what service you are shipping and how far the packages must travel especially if the shipment is by ground - hard to scan things when they are in an OTR trailer.
The most important thing is not how a package gets there but rather when it is delivered - hopefully on time or a bit sooner.
