#USPS Snail Mail

Recently, I had 2 items shipped on 12/08/2020. Hand delivered to local Post Office, St Augustine, FL. Not until 12/13/2020 were these accepted, and sent to Jacksonville, FL. So, consequently these items will take a full 10 days via 1st class mail. Every excuse, Covid 19, holiday mail, election ballots have been used recently to cover for their ineptitude. Just curious if this is local, or if other Sellers are also experiencing this lame excuse for #SnailMail. Happy Holidays. JJGramps

It's everywhere.  Always make sure you actually see the clerk scan your packages before you leave.

Very common I think.  In face 10 days seems quick with how things are going.  I ordered 4 items between Nov 30th and Dec 5th, none of them have arrived on the evening of the 14th.  I sent out an item on the 30th, it took 9 days just to be scanned in the system and passed through a distribution center a few days ago with no updates on its whereabouts.  This was a priority package.

the po has you by your "package" they knew this was coming. online shopping has been an all time high since the pandemic hit. they knew holiday mail would be brutal because of the added bazabajillion online purchases but they did not do anymore than they have in the past. what are you going to do? ship everything fed ex & ups? they know you can't & only THEY handle mail so as you stuff the mailbox they stuff it to you because? they can. this has been the same  seasonal scenario since online shopping became as common as junk mail & knowing this was about to blow up in their face they've done little to move it on time or within a reasonable time & 2-3 weeks is not reasonable for priority. Call it POvid2020

You should try walking in a mail carrier's shoes for a day or so.  Most people don't last but a couple of hours. Also, if you have all the answers to fix the USPS and every other delivery service, you should post it here as they might want to know. And as an FYI, the USPS handles in one day more volume than FedEx and UPS combined handle in one year.

Nope, waiting on pkgs sent November 30 to make it to their destination STILL. 1 sent in October disappeared all together. When inquired at local po about it, their excuse was just give it more time. How much longer than a month do u suggest? Their response was coronavirus wasnt supposed to be around long but it's still here so just give it more time. Are u suggesting it's reasonable to expect a package to take 9+months to deliver? What a dumb response.

My local po literally refuses to scan packages in line unless of course you're buying the postage there in line! Crazy right? And the outside blue box was closed due to repeated thefts & the inside drop box has had a broken handle for 1 year or so. Literally no secure or reliable way to drop off pkgs.

My post office too won't scan if in line. Add it to the pile. I ask if it will get delivered by Easter and keep it moving. Or go use fedex or UPS
