Is anybody else having packages destroyed by USPS despite careful wrapping ? Sold a vintage lamp and wrapped it to go to the moon and still ended up cracked ! Have personally received 2 out of 3 items broken in the last month alone. Seems like if it passes through Warrendale, Pa. they end up damaged. Then they want to deny any responsibility for it. Anyone else or just me having a run of bad luck ?

Never had a damage issue with USPS. I have had several with UPS, as a buyer only, I'd never ever use them to ship anything to anybody. They truly live up to their name United Parcel Smashers. I'll spare you the story about the forklift holes...
That said, define "careful wrapping". If you're selling a breakable item and it's not double boxed with at least two inches of padding around all sides, it's not packaged well enough and all three carriers - USPS, UPS and Fedex - will deny an insurance claim due to improper packaging. With UPS and Fedex I believe you have to use brand new boxes, too.
