USPS Shipping

Used Media Mail - Buyer has not received item - I started tracking and USPS tracking says "...item forwarded to a different address..." (in a different city near the intended destination) "...because of forwarding instructions, or address or zip was incorrect..." 

First time I've seen this - Not sure how to follow up!  Anyone deal with this before?

Hi @skyflyboy   ... last year Media Mail was horrible around the Holidays ... we did numerous USPS "Missing mail piece" claims for items stuck in their system.  Despite what they are showing you I would file one of those and see what they come back with. 

How big was the package? 

I know one time I had a package that was supposed to be delivered on a Saturday ... I got a message from the Buyer that they checked the tracking and it stated there was an issue with the Zip Code ... WHAT?  It was late on that Saturday so I had to wait until Monday AM to go to the Post Office and ask about it ... the Post Master said, "well ... some POs are small and short staffed on weekends and sometimes packages can get "misplaced"  until the next business day" but they went on to say THEY do not do that here LOL!  Later that Monday the package was delivered with correct confirmation ...

So the point is, the information YOU initially got on the USPS tracking "may or may not" be true ...

It was a small bubble envelope, 11 x 9, and 7 ozs - held a CD.  

Thanks for the tip on filing a "missing piece" with the PO - 

I just created an account there and will start the process and hope they "find" it.
