Hello,
I have excess USPS Regional A & B boxes on hand. Am I allowed to just black out (with a broad tip marker) the Regional A or Regional B text print on the boxes, and just use them for regular USPS Priority Mail... as long as I pay normal USPS Priority Mail Prices?
I asked my local post office counter person, and he "thinks it's okay". With that uncertainty and not locating anything on the USPS website, I thought I'd ask the community here.
Thoughts ?? Thanks in advance.

If USPS does discontinue the Regional A and B rates, then the leftover boxes will probably be handled the same way that the leftover Regional C boxes were handled when that rate was discontinued: Customers may still use the boxes, but regular Priority Mail rates (based on weight and dimensions) will apply.

No, you have to pay Regional A or B pricing, respectively.
If you're not going to use them for Regional rates, then give them back to the PO.

If the items fit, why not offer that as a shipping option and use them?

Hi,
Thank you for your response.
I asked if I could return them, and the counter person said they are likely going to be killed in 2023, so he doesn't want them cluttering his area. This is why I asked if I could use them if I marked the text out and paid the full price.
So, instead of them being wasted and likely ending up in the landfill... I'm trying to do the "right thing" 🙂
Let's see what other members of the community reply back with.

P.S. - If anyone has a source reference that they are aware of, that would be most helpful as well.
Thank you !!

No, you can only use them with Regional A and Regional B purchased labels. If you ship in those boxes with a regular Priority label, you are asking for problems for you and your buyer.

And in 2008, they said oil will never go below $100 either.

@bargaindealz4u Regional A and B boxes can only be used with the postage for A & B.
If you try to use just Priority it will be caught by the automated machines and you OR your customer will get extra charges.
