USPS Parcel Select selected as shipping option but can't print the label.

I have made USPS Parcel Select a shipping option on some of my listings.  My preferred option is USPS Priority shipping.   I seldom get a buyer selecting USPS Parcel Select, but I did yesterday.  When I went to purchase the label the default label was USPS Media Mail.  The item does not even qualify for Media Mail and Media Mail was not an option in the listing.  No matter what I did in the Purchase Shipping Label pages, I could not get the USPS Parcel Select Ground option.  I checked the community forums and see this has been a reported 'glitch' for over a year.  One reported solution is to buy the label on paypal, but when you've been forced into Managed Payments like me, you can't do it through paypal.  I called ebay and a rep told me it is a reported glitch (for over a year?).  The ebay rep told me that USPS will not allow ebay to provide Parcel Select as a purchase option.    That explanation is contrary to the reason I've seen posted here in the community forums, someone said that it is ebay that stopped allowing the purchase of Parcel Select labels due to the extreme unpredictable shipping times since COVID started which would negatively impact the Guaranteed Delivery program.  In either case, why does ebay continue to let sellers choose Parcel Select as a shipping option when they list items?    I saw this 'glitch' reported here on the forums as early as 03/25/20  ( https://community.ebay.com/t5/Shipping-Returns/USPS-Parcel-Select-Ground-Missing-From-Label-Printing... ).  All ebay has to do was eliminate USPS Parcel Select as a shipping option when you list an item.  Over a year later and it's still not fixed??  I went through all my listings and made sure I don't offer Parcel Select.  The ebay phone rep was well versed on the issue and told me many users complain about it, and the call center reps are just as frustrated as the sellers that this hasn't been addressed yet.

It's not going to be fixed. It took forever, but eBay finally let us know that they intentionally phased out and removed Parcel Select labels from their offered shipping services. It makes no sense, but that's what they did.

You can offer Parcel Select through your listings, but you'll have to purchase the label somewhere other than eBay. You can go to paypal.com/shipnow or pirateship.com - both are free shipping label services.

Ha, I guess they're still in the process of phasing it out. I just checked and I can still buy Parcel Select labels on my account.
