Has anyone else ran into this issue with USPS recently? I shipped out about 200 packages last week and the tracking says “delayed for postage assessment, held awaiting payment” for about half of them. They all are being sent to Colorado then afterwards and then to their destination even though I am located in PA. I’ve never had any issues with not paying the correct postage so I have no idea why this is happening but a few of my customers reached out this week saying they received an email about it. I’m concerned that with the delay in delivery by a few days because of this, people will start opening up item not received claims and I will be losing money even though USPS is the causing the issue with sending my packages across the country first instead of right to the destination. Any one else experiencing this?

What shipping service did you use?

Your listings show USPS ground advantage shipping.
Did you actually purchase any Fedex labels for them? And if so, did you drop the packages at a post office?

Most of them are USPS ground advantage. I have attached a screenshot of the tracking for a package that is supposed to go to Ohio and has gone all the way to Colorado first. The same thing is happening to about 100 orders I shipped out this past week no matter where the destination is. They all say “Held for postage assessment in the tracking history.”

No I have never used FedEx before. The packages have all been scanned in correctly at the post office so the FedEx issue is not the problem.
Most of them are USPS ground advantage with a few priority mail. I have attached a screenshot of the tracking for a package that is supposed to go to Ohio and has gone all the way to Colorado first. Are they "your package" items, like your own box, mailer, poly mailer, or USPS supplied box/mailers?
