I'd been searching for a particular vintage bench vice for some time. Finally found one on eBay. It was collection only from Gloucester and I'm on Merseyside so due to the lockdown I had to arrange a courier and used UPS. This was a heavy item and the seller packaged it in a cardboard box for me. I sent him the UPS label to print off and attach to the box. The package was collected by UPS on 29 December 2020 and was due to be delivered on 30 December. According to UPS tracking my item was scanned into their Tamworth facility on 29 December and that's where the tracking ends. The UPS customer service line (which sounds like it's somewhere abroad) is virtually useless and after a 25 minute wait to speak to someone it provided zero help. The woman I spoke to told me that all of the information regarding the package would have to be emailed to the seller. I asked why, as I was the one with whom UPS has a contract as I paid and the seller had no input at all. I got nowhere with her. My package is a large, heavy item and could not just fall down behind a cupboard at the UPS Tamworth facility. So where's it gone? Did someone working there fancy a vice as a belated Christmas present to themselves? Whatever, the lack of support from UPS has been staggering. My advice is AVOID UPS!

Hey Mate! Do you realize you posted on the USA or .com Community Forums instead of 'across the pond' in the UK from whence you hail?

Unfortunately companies are always happy to take your money, the real test is when a problem surfaces, how helpful & accomadating do you find them to be.
