Tracking stops at "Tracking Details Uploaded"?

Just asking because I'm not sure if this is something that occasionally happens when tracking GSP tracking numbers (e.g. the ones that come with "UPAA[---]"). Personally, this is the first time I've encountered something like this.

Basically I'd purchased an item the other day and the day after the seller marked the order as "Shipped" and provided a tracking number (usually sellers I'd bought from had provided the USPS tracking number and then the GSP one comes soon after, but in this case they'd only provided the GSP number, and personally I was fine with that at the time since the USPS number marks as "delivered" once it reaches Erlanger anyway).

However, three days had passed and I noticed the updates from said tracking number hadn't moved beyond "Tracking Details Uploaded."

I'd purchased the item back at Feb 5 (Feb 4 on the timezone EBay uses). It's been 11 (10) days and shipping still hasn't moved beyond "Tracking Details Uploaded."

Is it normal for something like this to happen on GSP? I've read somewhere that sometimes scans don't happen until it reaches the Global Shipping Center but I've never encountered a situation where it hasn't happened the entire way. (Not to mention it usually never takes 10 days for me to not get an update from the Global Shipping.)

Now I'm worried because there may be the off-chance the seller just gave the GSP tracking number and might not have actually shipped it or forgot about it. Since I don't have the USPS tracking number, I have no guarantee of knowing if it even made it to the Global Shipping, was ever shipped in the first place, or was already lost in transit to begin with....

 As a seller I have the same question.

The tracking number under my sold item shows the same message, and I dropped the item at USPS several days ago!

(Wow, I didn't expect any replies to this; I was considering re-asking this question since it just left without comments/answers/suggestions for days.)

I'm not sure if your used the Global Shipping Program on your case, but if you did, did the USPS tracking number at least update on shipping progress? Because I can understand if the USPS tracking number gave shipping updates but the UPAA Global Shipping number didn't, since I've heard there are times it won't update until it reaches the Global Shipping Center.

But on my case, the seller provided ONLY the UPAA GSP number (and I was okay with it at the time since the USPS number stops once it reaches Erlanger). And now by next week it'll be the expected delivery date (the estimate is Mar 1 to Mar 4) and it's still stuck as "Tracking Details Uploaded." 😕

I've reached out to the seller expressing my concerns a couple times and they never answered.

At this point I still don't get an update on my item and they still don't reply to my final message once the last estimated delivery is past I'm filing an INR. Their lack of communication alone is already low on the seller communication for me.

Gonna add on to this (not that it mattered anyway since ultimately this post didn't get much replies and whatnot) that I ultimately never got my item in the end, and the tracking remained stagnant at "Tracking Details Uploaded" even past the last delivery estimate.

I decided to wait until two days after the last estimate just to be generous to Western timezones, and requested a refund, and to no surprise (and like with my previous messages expressing concerns with the lack of tracking updates), the seller completely glossed over it.

At this point I just escalated the case and got my money back.

I left a well-deserved negative feedback on the seller's page (what odd timing that I see negative feedback left from others as well around this time...hmm) and just overall this has been my first negative EBay experience altogether. Didn't expect to run into one so soon but here we are.... 😕
