I ordered an item on the 12th that was suppose to arrive on the 21st. I understand delays and such so I’m perfectly happy waiting awhile for it, but what concerns me is the fact that the package tracking hasn’t updated since the 16th and I’m almost five days past the arrival date. I sent a message to the seller but was shown an automatic reply because they are on vacation until Sep 2. Being worried as I’ve never had this issue, I opened a case because I was afraid I might be past my window for refund if the package is lost. I then get a response from the seller that is just telling me to be patient and wait 30days since the postal service is taking awhile. I put in the first message I sent that it’s not the wait I’m worried about, I’m worried the package might be lost since it’s tracking hasn’t updated and has been stuck at a facility for 9 days now and I just wanted him to call the post office about it since when I tried I was told I couldn’t ask for info on a package I didn’t send out myself (very confused on this). The case says to comeback on the 28th if nothing has been resolved. At this point I’m not sure what to do because the seller just added the same tracking number to the case and reiterated his point to be patient. Will the seller win if the tracking number still hasn’t updated? What do I do if it never arrives and the case closes in his favor since he did ship it out? I don’t want to be negative because I understand packages get lost, but I also don’t want to be out a large sum of money. The tracking number also displayed on the 20th not as a scanned point but a notice that it won’t arrive on the 21st. Does that count as a tracking update? It has no hour label or location label and it just appears to be a dated message on the 20th saying it won’t arrive on time.
