This seller is scammer

It does look like the seller was trying to hide the fact that it was for a box only and since it sold for A$780 it looks as if many people missed that.  This discussion board is for items bought on the US site but if you purchased it on the Australian site the rules should be similar. Go to the resolution center on the site that you purchased the item on and open a return request. Use the reason that the item was not as described. The seller did describe a phone and the title suggests he is selling a phone so you are within your rights to return the empty box. The seller will have to provide you with a return shipping label or the send you the money that it will cost you to send back the box. If they don't agree to the return and/or don't provide a shipping label, you can get ebay to step in and help.

eBay doesn't want sellers or buyer to be shamed and named on the boards so your post will probably be edited by the mods.

Aside from the title, it is also listed in the "Cell Phones and Smartphones" category despite there being no actual phone up for auction, and the sole photo in the listing shows a phone as well as the box. In addition to being an obvious scam, it would be Not As Described on that basis even as a box auction.

File the Not As Described dispute, and prepare to send back the empty box if the seller provides a return label. Do not file an Item Not Received dispute, because the seller can prove that you received an item.
