Here is the reply I received when I contacted a seller about non/late receipt of goods purchased.
"GreetingsI made a genuine mistake, which obviously you never have, seen as you are an angel AND saint wrapped up in pretty bow! And to be honest, I don't need people like you as my customer, a person with NO level of humanity nor campassion. The £4.50 profit I made is NOT worth listening to a moaning whinge bag! Have a nice life and I wish you luck in life (you're gonna need it)Pav x"

perhaps their tone will change a bit if faced with an "item not received" claim rather than just an inquiry from you.
The words may get a bit more colorful, or revert to more of a "king's English" reply.

Wow, there's an interesting seller with very thin skin!
Here's an amusing reply they wrote in response to a neg that they received: "Thanx for your feedback. Here's mine to you 1) I'm the cheapest on Ebay! 2) Your incompetency to search PROPERLY on Ebay is not my concern. 3) Wonder why you waited over 90 days to leave this feedback, maybe you're in cahoots with another buyer. 4) Speedy delivery seems to be important to my customers and I provide that 5) I won't be losing any sleep over you 6) Your sorry and bitter a$$ will be blocked from any further purchases, I do not need this type of bitter customer!!! 7) GET A LIFE!!!"

Sorry you picked a scrub seller. This is the very reason to open a claim without contacting the seller, in my opinion. 😑
