The return period is wrong

The buyer received the item on 3/16 and if you set the Return 30 days period, the buyer can return by 4/16 in the common sense means other retailers require generally.

However, the eBay allow to return by 4/29 which means 1 month + 13 days and 7 days (the time shipping from the buyer to seller)=50 days.

eBay can't count the correct math.

If eBay justify the 50 days period for 30days return, then, I select  'NO RETURN ACCEPTED" and request the buyer to send us e-mail us if they want to return and we gave the correct time period and refund from PayPal and contact eBay and request the final value fee.

 

Anyway, this is the one way practice eBay pushed to the seller and since we don't like it, we are going to close the store anyway on the 1 year period come the due.

Buyers now have 21 business days to get a return in the mail.

Your way is not our way. So, the buyer has 50 days.

Our ways is 30 day return period as the general retailers are doing.

Nothing to do with the seller update. They are now giving the buyer 30 days to get the item in the mail.

A 30 day return policy means buyers have 30 days from the date tracking confirms delivery to open a return request. Once a request is open they have an additional length of time to return the item - currently it's 30 days because eBay's allowing extra time due to the worldwide pandemic.

 

With your example:

- buyer received item 3/16

- buyer can open a return request up to 30 days later on 4/15

- buyer has an additional 30 days to get the package to you on 5/15

 

That's assuming the return label is generated on eBay. If you provide your own return label purchased from a third party then the time a buyer has to return the item is even longer.

 

It sounds like your buyer opened a return request on 3/30 and as a result they have until 4/29 to return it. The "normal" time frame is about a week shorter than that - you know, when there is no worldwide health crisis shutting everything down.

No, it's 2 months (60 days return) in the general term.

If you say for pandemic for corvid-19, the seller should get the 30 days refund period in the common sense.
