I sold a $100 t shirt and the buyer asked me to ship to a different address, so I did. They recently opened a case against me saying that it was an unauthorized payment. I have a screenshot of the message where they ask me to ship it somewhere else. What do I do?

Sigh, but there is nothing that you can do insofar as PP is concerned. USPS mail fraud may be an alternative option but the item is gone and the money will be soon 😞

I think you have been had. You NEVER, NEVER ship to any other address other than the one listed on the Pay Pal acct. Once you do, you're seller protection is out the window.

So i just lost $100 and paypal wont do anything even when they see the message he sent me?

You are screwed. The message won’t save you. You don’t have seller protection if you didn’t ship to the address on the buyers PayPal account. You are going to get hit with a $20 chargeback fee too.

No. PayPal won’t do anything. Neither you or PayPal can prove the message came from the account holder or card holder

Unfortunately, the answer is YES.

Can i call usps becuase the package is being held at the post office at the 'wrong' address. Would they ship the item back to me?

And you probably won't get your merchandise returned either.

You can attempt to recall the package. can be done online.
A call may not work.
Online may, or may not work.
You will be charged about $12 if recovered, and returned to you.

It's definately worth a try. Otherwise you might also loose your merchandise.

I was told that my package cannot be intercepted, so i don't think there is anything i can do.

@etol47 Did you ask the PO or did you submit a request on the USPS website? If you didn’t go to the USPS website and submit a request to intercept the package, do it now. If the address is wrong, it’ll be returned to you anyway unless the recipient makes arrangements to pick it up or have it reshipper

Well it is not the wrong address technically, its just the different one that the buyer gave me, but the package tracking says that the customer requested it to be held at the post office. I tried going online to usps to intercept the package but it says my package cannot be intercepted.

Should i file an item missing claim?
