Suspicious & incorrect shipping address in my account settings? Anyone have this happen?

Hi:

Been an Ebay member since 1998.

Ordered an item last week and when seller sent shipping info I noticed that my ship to address was wrong. had the beginning of my street number but then another street adddress  in a difernt state than me. Seller would not change the address with fedex so some got my $1000 item. But not sure how anyone could change my account info?? ebay said no hack was detected. Anyone else had this happen? Hopefully just a glitch. but seller not wanting to change ship to has me wondering. And the wrong address is in the same state as seller.

any thoughts?

Always double-check the double-check your ship-to address before you pay. Could be a hack, could be malware.

There is an advantage to using the 'chat' way of contacting eBay if it comes to that.

With 'chat' rather than phone, a written transcript is emailed to you. Disadvantage is the limited number of characters you can paste from a pre-written description of the issue. [I use an email draft to write the key details and when done copy and paste to the chat reply field].

Double check your deliver address in your account preferences.  Get to that by click on your 'Hi glory' greeting tab at top left of pages.

If it's correct contact seller again and have them confirm where this parcel was sent.

Does sound suspect.

Does sound like seller isn't very obliging or helpful at all.

Do you have a tracking number? If so try the fedex site to see where it is at.

Did you check your ebay and paypal accounts? Is the address on the shipping confirmation the address on both of your accounts AND the order details for this purchase? Did the seller ship with signature confirmation?
