Suggested Thermal Label Printer?

Hello,

I am still using my regular printer with 8 x 11 paper to print out labels, cut the label to size and then place in a shipping envelope to send a package.  My store has picked up and I am thinking it would be more efficient (cost & time) to purchase a label printer with self adhesive labels.  When researching, there are a lot of models to choose from.  Anyone have any thoughts as to a good quality printer that is affordable?  I use Windows.  Is it easy to hook up and use? Any other thoughts would be appreciated.  Thank you!

Love my zebra LP 2844.  Bought it here on eBay refurbished.  Pays for itself pretty quickly - and the time savings is the best part.

Re: Suggested Thermal Label Printer?

For just USPS you only need one of the small thermal printers like the Dymo 450 (not the 550), or other similar size printer.  For UPS/FedEx and USPS you need a larger printer like the Dymo 4XL (not the 5XL) that can print a 4"x6" label, which is even big enough to print the packing slip on.

Make sure you purchase one that is compatible with free bi-fold or roll shipping labels from UPS. Just open an account with UPS and they will send you all the labels you want for free. They will work with any shipper including the usps.
