I had a great transaction, shared some local memories with the buyer, but now he says the item has not arrived yet. Shipped June 23, today is August 1. Item tracking shows it arrived in Cincinnati on June 30, where it has been recumbent since.
When I go to file a claim on the Post office website, it says:
Sorry, this package isn't eligible for a claim since it wasn't purchased with insurance.
The Post Office denies responsibility for their own delivery service?
A new Covid-era modus operandi in American business? A company sells someone something if it doesn't work, or it's broke, just tell your customer, "Hey you didn't buy insurance, so no, you don't get a refund."
Don't you just love it?

@donsdetour wrote:read the thread: you sold some thing for 150 and sent it the cheapest way you could" you deserve to get hit with this in my opinion.
Media mail has always been a risk to ship with. Since the mess up with USPS it has been a problem. If you have not had such prior you have been very lucky....
No advice I can give: other than stop using media mail until they get the USPS fixed if ever...
Hope they do not open an item not received case so you are forced to refund them..
I have to say, this is not at all correct. I ship media mail almost every day for years and nothing has arrived late in the past year since covid, every package has arrived either ahead of estimated delivery date or on it. People love to say media mail is this and that and unreliable blah blah... it's all false. Yes, media mail does take longer, general time is 5-7 days depended on destination. And yes, media mail can be opened by USPS and be checked (rarely happens btw). You can insure media mail just as first class and priority if your worried, waste of money though. I never do, if a rare case happens where it gets lost I'll just send buyer another copy or refund if it's out of stock.

Did you sign up for email updates? That usually works for me. Yes, I live in Ohio and have noticed a slowdown through Cincinnati. Warrendale, PA as well.
