I do not understand why Ebay is so single mindedly trying to get sellers to leave! Why is it they are so single-mindedly trying to make the "Buyers experience" better at the expense of the seller! They now want a "automatic" refund system that will take money out of the sellers pockets when they have not agreed to take the item back! I sell one off items that once in buyers hands may become worthless but because they are the buyer it is assumed that "I" the seller will take the item back? For instance; I sell a lot of Playboy magazines that are still in the factory wrapping. Once they get the item and they open the factory bag it is now not a mint condition magazine and will lose its value. To continue, if they then "thumb through" the magazine and bend the cover, again it looses its value! So in ebays eyes if the buyer does not like the magazine for whatever reason and they open a return I am cut out of the loop! The issue the refund out of my pocket and I end up with an item that will not sell for as much as it did. Ebay is always about the buyer and NEVER about the seller!

Streamlined Returns doesn't necessarily mean 'Streamlined Refunds'. From the message:
- When you're OK with buyers paying to ship back items they no longer want, requests for returns are accepted automatically and we'll provide the buyer with a return shipping label.
- In some situations, you may still have three business days to provide your own return label before one is automatically sent to the buyer. This usually occurs if the request is outside your return policy window or for certain return reasons.
- No return requests due to buyer's remorse will be accepted automatically if your policy doesn’t permit it.
Sellers will still get to eyeball Return requests, and some sellers will still have the benefit of reducing the refund by 50% if they offer Free Returns or are TRS with 30-Day Returns (shipping cost can be deducted, too), in the case that the return is not what was originally sent. (I happen to use the latter, simply for the added seller protection.) Obviously, your items could come back de-valued... you might want to revisit your Return Policy.

I too am sick and tired of this entire game, this money hungry endeavor with buyers as the golden eggs sellers the redheaded step child. For me, I've owned a real business for over 24 years and decided to try to retire. So I closed my website, shut everything down and brought my product (key word here "my") to Ebay. Due to current events and to having a charge-back where the Ebay buyer said I was a subscription service (the tool purchased a bottle of cologne) and to see that Ebay is still letting him use their platform, I've decided that I'm going to sell off my product and I'm done with them. That includes purchasing from them as well. I will not work with a company who is trying to run "my" business with "my" product and tell me that I "have" to accept a return. This is not my first rodeo and the sad part is, I carry cosmetics of which cannot be resold, thus I will eat product left and right. The bottom line is, I know women, women are low and will lie through their teeth and say a product is not used and it will come back completely destroyed and unusable ( and I'm female), been there seen that. I've simply had enough of this bull. There is no respect especially in cases like mine where I KNOW what I'm doing, not saying others don't but having a brick and mortar for 17 years and a website over lapping for 18, yes I've been down this road and no one is going to tell me what I will and will not return. I'm as ticked off as it gets and I cannot wait for the day when I can click on that button that says, "Close My Account".

@khoyle504
If you don't take returns, they are not going to force you to take a remorse return, just like it is now.
If you take returns, they'll auto accept it and send the buyer a shipping label, just like now.
If the buyer files an INAD, just like now, you can take the return or just refund buyer.

AND to add insult to injury, I have over 2K pieces/items to sell and not sure what to do with them now. There is maybe 5%-7% that I've been able to put up as it's just me and I'm in a wee bit of a retirement mode haha. I guess I'll put some up as lots, I'll gift a ton to family and friends but I wish there was another platform that respected those of us who have had business's and/or who have exceptional feedback for a substantial time and/or for those who have items that will come back in unsaleable condition no matter what. To lump everyone into a ball and say "weeeeeeeeee! deal with it punks" is simply wrong in my opinion on so many levels. I'm not Nordstroms or Neimans who can afford all the fees, paid returns, product loss, refunds and headaches, sigh and sighs again. I came to Ebay because it allowed me to maintain a certain amount of control over my goods going to-and-fro and now that knowledgeable (yes I'm knowledgeable in terms of my business) control has been taken away like I'm a child who doesn't know what I'm doing. Whatever..... I'll be quiet now. Good luck all and best to you.
