Strange Tracking

Not sure what is going on with this tracking.  I purchased the item on May 14th and was surprised it was on my front porch two days later on the 16th.  I left feedback stating how fast the shipping was.

Tracking was really strange.   I even got a notification from USPS on the 20th that it was out for delivery and another one stated it had been delivered.  Of course nothing arrived on the 20th because I had received it on the 16th. 

I've never seen this before.  Anyone have any idea what was going on with this?

Be happy it arrived early, usps has been delayed as for some time.  plenty of post in here on such matter.

@titipeo  Oh, I definitely wasn't complaining.  The tracking was so strange I was just curious how all that happened.  I've had the package since the 16th so there is no way they could have been scanning it after that.

Packages often get a misscan when the tool is set improperly.

I've had items scanned as delivered on the first scan after acceptance.

It will usually correct itself but since you did indeed receive the package, it's all good. 

It looks like they forgot to scan the delivery to your porch. Perhaps the sender asked for a scan update, to protect themselves so it got scanned anew as delivered.

@pikabo-icu   That makes sense.  I didn't think about that.

I had looked to see if there was some place I could mark it delivered but there isn't an option to do that.  I did leave feedback that it had been delivered though.
