Starting to be a bit worried

Hi all,

On the 24th I bought a nintendo switch when I accepted a counter offer of the seller, seller was very friendly had a nice email saying tomorrow first work she will go send it in and update tracking information, as she was very quick replying to my offer earlier I guess she must have the app installed and receive messages, we are now the 26th and still nothing has been set as shipped or updated, I send her a message yesterday asking if she already has shipped it in but no answer, I know it's still early and shipping is set between 28th-6th but the switch I ordered is not easy to find as it is a 2017 unit I have a feeling she got a better offer and backed out on the deal maybe

Any suggestions?

Relax & be patient.  Yesterday (25th) was a USPS Holiday, and the 24th was Sunday and it is  earlier in the morning on the 26th.  Our PO doesn't open until 8:30 ET and  hasn't been open since noon on Saturday the 23rd.

All this means the earliest you can expect your purchase to be shipped is today sometime.  Could be later depending on your sellers  handling time.

You  should have received an ESTIMATED delivery date from eBay.  In today's corona environment it maybe delayed.  Recently I had a shipment that was supposed to arrive on May 7 finally received it on the 23rd - just  had to Chill.

@nicvi-49

The 24th was Sunday

The 25th was Memorial Day

Today, the 26th is the FIRST business day since you purchased.  The Post Office is not open on Sundays or Holidays.

Relax.

And remember ... Sellers are not required to use tracking. They are also not required to ship immediately -- they may have a handling time than can be anywhere between "same day" and 30 days.

As a buyer all you need to worry about is the Estimated Delivery Date.

If that passes, you are covered by the MBG for Items not Received.

Look at you Purchase History to see the Estimated Delivery Date on your order. You cannot file a claim until AFTER that date has passed … and you have 30 days past that date to open a claim.

And like the previous poster said, there are systemic delays due to the current health crisis. When the seller ships, there may be delays, so don't panic. Give it time.

PS.  I see you are from Belgium so the info I provided holds true if your seller was from the US.  Your Post is on a US discussion site,

@nicvi-49

That doesn't matter ... Sunday is still Sunday in Europe.

And sellers don't have to ship in 1 business day (see my previous post)

Yes I know that, all I worried about is lack of response and being ignored, if you can answer a question during you selling, you can once it has been paid too, i order lots of things and never had somebody ignoring me, seller has good feedback,I dont worry about loosing money as i know i can get all back if not delivered i am worried about the seller back up on the deal and it was a nice price for a rare item

When did you start messaging the seller? Sunday? Yesterday?

How many messages have you sent the seller about something that they can't do or don't have to do (ship immediately or use tracking).

All a buyer has to worry about is the Estimated Delivery Date. Period.

Since the seller is from the UK, is Memorial Day celebrated there, or is this strictly a US holiday, like Thanksgiving?

Multiple people here are trying to tell you (politely) that you have nothing to worry about.

You have eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers.  It doesn't matter if you don't know when the seller ships.

It doesn't matter if you have no correspondence with the seller.  It doesn't even matter whether or not the seller gets tracking.

The only thing that matters is the estimated delivery date.  If/when you've not received your purchase within a few days of that date, and there is no tracking proving delivery, you can open an item not received case in the Resolution Center.

Yes I know that, and thank you all for your replies, I just way too worry I think, I have been trying to catch one for a nice piece for months and I just feel now like I wont even get it, just a simple reply from her would make my day, nothing else for me to do than just wait 😁

Coincidentally,  Mon was also a holiday in the UK.  In the US the holiday is Memorial Day. In the UK it's Spring Bank Day. eBay says to allow 48 hrs for replies.

Don't borrow trouble. Think positive.
