Sold bike part worth over $750 and shipped with signature confirmation. Was delivered to recipient address but no signature was obtained according on the tracking number. Am I screwed if the person opens a INR request? Just worried

One thing I learned last week talking to a clerk at my post office. I wanted signature confirmation for shipping something and he asked me "electronic or written"? Of course I said written. I don't know if that makes a difference but electronic signature is new to me. I would actually take tracking number to post office and get some information on how it was delivered. Going online or calling doesn't give you always the full facts so I have learned.

@crflo-2460 An item not received case is based on whether the tracking shows delivered, not a signature. As long as the tracking shows delivered than you are protected from an INR case. Buyer can always open a return case, but an INR case would close in your favor as long as you have that delivered scan.
Signature confirmation will only be of use to you if you were to go to court on this. Due to covid most shipping companies are not requesting an actual signature anymore or allow the delivery person to sign for the recipient. Buyer could open a dispute with their bank and most likely win by claiming they never received the item and there would be no signature on file to prove otherwise. It sounds like you are looking for a guarantee that the buyer received the item but that's not how signature required works anymore. Regardless, for eBay you only need to have the delivered scan....

Been around for years
electronic you go look for it online.
written you get that PS153 pink retail form customer copy for a bit more cost
A hard copy PS3811 receipt with the signature can also be purchased, or an electronic return receipt can be purchased for a lesser charge

Just to be clear, eBay's protections against an INR requires that you "purchase" signature confirmation service for shipments over $750. There is nothing in that policy that requires an actual signature to be received.

So, as lamber9347 pointed out, since you purchased the signature confirmation, you are protected as soon as your shipment is shown as delivered.

Don't contact the buyer and give them any ideas.
