I was charged $30 for USPS Priority shipping when I paid for my item. The seller printed a USPS Ground Advantage label and eBay notified me that my item had shipped. I contacted the seller about the slower shipping. The seller said they are not able to ship my item Priority USPS as the auction description stated. They said they have to ship USPS Ground Advantage, or I can pay more money to them to have the item shipped Priority, or they can cancel the sale. This does not seem ethical to me.

I agree that a seller should not advertise Priority and then ship with a slower shipping service.
eBay won't intervene in this matter, so you will have to work it out with the seller.
Much of the time, Ground Advantage can get it to you within the same timeframe.
Best of luck.

If you paid for USPS Priority shipping, then you are entitled to USPS Priority shipping -- it is considered to be a portion of the entire shipping package, as originally promoted by the seller.
Your seller is openly engaged in what is referred to as a "bait and switch" tactic -- advertising one method of shipping, and then actually shipping in a different, cheaper method which is intended to provide the seller with a higher profit.
Your seller is lying about not being able to ship via USPS Priority -- it takes as much effort to print off a USPS Priority label, as it does to print off a USPS Ground Advantage label.
When the item arrives, open up an "item not as described" case against the seller, since the item which you had ordered was definitely "not as described," since the seller had advertised their item with USPS Priority shipping.
The seller can either accept the return, or provide you with a refund of the difference between USPS Priority and USPS Ground Advantage.
Your seller is simply trying to make a bigger profit on the sale at your expense.
Don't allow this to happen to you.

Wonder if they will use priority mail supplies for packing inside that package?
While it would be bending the rules a little, you could file an item not as described case and return it on their dime. Your seller is taking that risk.

Can you show the item number to see the listing?
What the seller is doing seems unethical.....If you are shipping coast to coast GA is like the Pony Express

Just a heads up....USPS Priority shipping has been very slow lately .
Where the package is going will depend if it would get there any quicker or not.
I don't even look at what type of shipping seller uses anymore.
Just as long as I receive the item I am happy.

Please post the item number.
It's possible that the item is something that must be shipped by ground (i.e., fragrances or other items) although the seller should have been aware when he listed it.
If you receive the item and if it's as described, let the seller know you aren't happy that he downgraded shipping and you want a partial refund of the overpayment.
