Hi! I am new to ebay and just sold my first item. When listing the item, I did not know the package details for shipping. I posted just a pair of flip flips so I charged $5.00 for shipping. I just sold my item and it is saying I have to print the shipping label that cost $8.00. Do I have to buy/print this label? 

My point is, I am not sure how much it will even be to ship this. What if it does only cost around $5? I am just confused on the shipping label because I did not even put item details in there.

If someone could give me step-by-step instructions on what to do and how to ship stuff on here that would be great! Like I said im new to ebay and very confused LOL

Step 3: Go to the label preparation/purchase page. Enter the weight and choose "Priority Mail" as your shipping method. The cost for this package could easily be $8 or more depending on the actual package weight.  If you have a flat rate envelope handy and if your item fits in that, then you can choose that as your Priority Mail method and it will be cheaper than the weight-based method.

You set up the listing with a flat shipping cost of $5 and you specified Priority Mail shipping (in your Description text as well as in the Shipping section of the listing).  The minimum online cost for Priority Mail is $6.95.

First, NEVER list without knowing how to ship and how much it will cost to ship. 

Luck is on your side as the item can be shipped in a Priority Flat Rate Envelope (you can't ship anything Priority for $5) for $6.95 so you are only going to have to eat a small amount. Go to the sale page and select Priority Flat Rate  Envelope. You can get one if you do not have them on hand at any Post Office.

Now as to the platforms and tennis shoes they wont fit in a FRE. 

If you do not have a scale buy one ASAP. Weigh the item with the packaging you intend to use and put the weights in the shipping calculator. Weights are always 'up to but not over'  so a 1 pound 1 ounce item needs 2 pounds worth of postage.
