Shipping without tracking

So, I guess you really can't send anything in an envelope anymore without tracking. 

For the first time in years I sold a cheap $3 item, and exactly 1 month later they are claiming they didn't get it. 

Anyone else have this problem without tracking?

I don't ship without Tracking for this very reason. I suppose it could happen to anyone who can't confirm 'Delivered'.

True...It takes a pretty pathetic person to steal a $3 item, but I guess those are the best items because they figure easy free stuff and no great loss to the seller.  I
