Shipping tip for those having trouble getting to Post office

If you have a local library, tax office,school, Government office..... (any public entity close by ask if you can use their mail pick up bin) 　 If I have trouble getting out I use my library bin. Secret is knowing the time frame of pick up. And since a business public office, they always get collected and most have a bin for out going mail. aswe

Great tip from aswegrow, but this is what I have been doing. I know that I can request pickup if they are Priority or First-Class. But with pickup I have to wait, and there was a time that the mail carrier didn't ring the doorbell so I had to drive to the post office same day. Waste of gas and an unnecessary increase in car's mileage!!! I do not leave packages outside even if our community is safe, and I do not want waiting because I feel like I am not free to do anything I want until mailman comes.

So I look for him in the other or our community that he both services and personally give him my packages. Key is knowing his schedule. My packages get scanned right away. I save him extra step of going to my doorstep. Win-win for both parties.
