I always keep a couple tape rolls cores to use with fragile items. These rolls are very sturdy and free.
Perfect for small glasses, music boxes, ect.
Wrap item in bubble wrap, then stack empty tape rolls around item. Secure with tape or plastic wrap.
I have been using this packing for a number of years, with great success. Using tape rolls
double them up to get correct height
Cello wrap or tape it all together

@aswegrow2 Oh my goodness, I am not alone. I keep anything and everything to use as buffers for my shipping. It's really amazing how little I spend on shipping supplies because I reuse so many everyday items for packing. I'm a recycle nut. Sometimes I wonder what my buyers think when they open my packages, but I've never heard a complaint from anyone.....

I'm always cutting cardboard. Tape the lids of the bottles, wrap in cardboard. Put in polymailer.
I had the hugest pile of cardboard boxes, until one day, I told my housekeeper to break some of it down (it was taking up a quarter of the garage). Since then, I'm lucky if I can hide a box from her! Not that I'm complaining, the house is much much cleaner and hubs appreciates that!

I admire your tidy home. I wish I had one.
Sorry... I couldn't help it. Got these Dennis the Menace fingers... 🤣
