Shipping status with item

How is it ok to state an item is shipped and on its way or your item has been shipped when the carrier does not even have the item in its posession.

Were they provide a tracking number?  If so, when were you told that it was posted?  Did they wait to get a scan or just drop it off?  How long ago was this supposed to be shipped?

It is NOT okay to misrepresent anything, which includes shipping.  Communicate with your seller.

The questions I posed were for you to review.  I hope that it works out and that there was just some miscommunication.

To the best of my knowledge, when the seller obtains the shipping label, the item is automatically marked as shipped, even though it has not been shipped.  Please keep in mind that the most important information in your eBay purchase will be the last estimated delivery date.  If your purchase has not arrived by 5-7 days after that date, you can open an item not received case in the Resolution Center.

It is ebay that sends a message to the buyer that the item has shipped once the label has been printed.  For years, sellers have asked that ebay change the message, but for some reason they refuse to do so.

I only print the shipping label the day I plan to ship so buyers don't get the wrong idea.
