So like many many others out there im being hit left right and center with MISSING MAIL! Yes you heard that right I have 3 items sold and 1 purchase that have magically gone missing between December 11th-Dec 31st. Now I have called ebay and they are adjusting seller ratings because of this issue. My fear was not just the missing product and money but the HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS, spent filing claims, and waiting on hold on the phone with the post and all those wonderful headaches. Who here is feeling this pain with me? Im curious how are you handling your customers? Ive written books after some pushback with customers that I have done EVERYTHING I can do on my end to satisfy them. Any suggestions out there? I think i just wanted to vent more than anything honestly.

Over 20 items 25 days or more in the mail, with the need to refund about half of the buyers. And of course most of them first class not insured, and show delivered all of a sudden. But on a positive note, I wake up each morning.

1 pkg sat in penn a week, but they had bad snowstorms many states
most cust are good , i just say i mail in 24 hrs, rest is up to post office

USPS does not care! If everyone would stop using USPS it would send a message. I had enough! I lowered my prices and using buyer paid shipping via UPS, Fedex. It not correct or fair the USPS is giving no one any guidance on shipping. In most cases my selling price with the added cost of shipping via UPS/FEDEX is still lower than most listings. If things return to normal I can order goods that I sold. It better to have cash than having inventory just sit. At least my buyer would be getting their package within 2-7 days not 2-3 weeks. Ebay should the reduce fees for selling so we can ship packages using UPS OR Fedex and at lease make a small profit. Once my inventory is depleted I am out here. Others have caused the problem and there is not help from anyone. I stopped using online purchases and I am taking advantage of curbside pickup when possible. Food can be delivered by different companies . I do not see why stores cannot use these same services in areas were there are store locations. With so many people out of work there is money to be made. Screw USPS.

I have to say I've been very fortunate with lost packages. I have had several orders in the wind for 2 weeks or a little more. Fortunately, my customers have been SUPER patient but I've always found paper doll collectors to be the BEST customers on the planet!!! What has been getting me really riled with the USPS lately is they can get a package from the coast of North Carolina to someone's porch in California, First Class in 2 DAYS and my order to Virginia (the state above NC) is 2 WEEKS late?!?! Go figure.

I finally filed a claim with eBay for a package that was mailed over a month ago with tracking but never arrived. eBay refunded my money. The seller said he had contacted the USPS and they told him the truck carrying my package (and thousands more) was still sitting where it broke down but they were on their way to recover it. What do you think the odds are that it will be empty after sitting someplace in NY for almost a month.

Are you going to repay the seller once your item gets delivered?

QUITE FRANKLY , it does not matter HOW MUCH YOU PAY usps, They cannot GET IT TOGETHER. At least not yet, and probably for several months. STOP sending stuff with them. Use Fed EX, UPS and then maybe they can get caught up as well.

I work for USPS (rural carrier). Since last March/April after everything locked down and the shelves were stripped of just about everything, we have been slammed. We went from 2 pallets of Amazon and sometimes these were only 4' high to 6 pallets and a Gaylord a day for our 7 route office most of which were at the point that they just fit through the door into the office.
During the Holidays I expect to have my Jeep packed to the rafters several times a week but it got to the point where we ALWAYS had to leave notices for people to come pick up packages. Our sub worked every single day and even our clerks and Postmaster were running packages and still things piled up. It became a rarity to leave the office with anything visible out my mirrors other than the one on the drivers side. This has only eased off some in the past week or so but its still not down to the normal post holiday lull.
I took Tuesday - Friday off and did a mini staycation. At 61 next month I was worn out, I slid and mashed a finger, a heavy package slid and hit my shoulder and it was not recovering with the constant use, and my Jeep had some issues to be repaired. I thought YEAH the carrier that was out with covid had come back, we were even training a second sub. Well Saturday I walk in and grin because Tod one of our old Postmasters was there, then I notice the girl that runs our "retail office" and Rachael our sub is sorting mail to the routes. I asked what was up having been out of the office. Well one sub got to not feeling well Friday and they did another temp check and he had a fever, also though she felt OK the other clerk had an elivated temp also, the Postmaster wasn't running a temp and he and Misty's rapid test came back neg Johnathan's was possitive for covid so since they all are in the small office together through the day they are all quarantined at least for the next 2 weeks. Overnight the office had been sanitized and since Tod will have to run both offices (close to a hours drive between the two) Rachael a sub carrier will be handling some of the Postmasters dutys and window hours will be minimal. Good thing I grabbed those few days off because I don't know if today maybe my last non Sunday day off for a few weeks.
Oh and by the way, though some of my own packages have arrived very late. At least they are arriving I have 2 open cases with FedEx where they said that packages were delivered but were not. They claim Sunday delivery but in my rural area FedEx doesn't run on Sunday and I am home on Sundays.

That sounds like a nightmare!
I for one generally like USPS and the things I have issues with are policy related. The USPS and employees definitely got shafted this past year and I hope things improve. Mail service is a necessary right that should pe subsidized not a business. Hope you feel better and stay safe.
Ohh and I have also had packages get delayed. One package going to France took a week long vacation in Puerto Rico and many just sat in Jacksonville FL for weeks doing nothing. So far my customers have been very understanding.

Well Biden said that ANYONE who doesn't feel safe at work can get unemployment. If I was a Postal worker I would take that offer. In fact I wish all the postal workers would do just that and then maybe the USPS would totally crash. Then the people in Washington DC would really have to do their job for a change. Congress talks and talks but never gets much done. I think it would be best for the nation if members of Congress feel unsafe at their job that they also take Joe up on his offer. Things could not be any worse. It is not the USPS worker fault and they are being abused. The USPS is not a business but a service that the economy of the US depends upon. The USPS should get the funding it needs to do the job asked. Lets not forget the more than 500,000 postal worker give back more than 6 billion dollars in federal taxes every year and probably billions more in State taxes etc. So in reality the US government is taking money in because of the USPS so if you think about it those terms the USPS is actually making money for the government.

what's disgusting is Ebay is dropping seller's ratings after they promised to help sellers with the mail delays
