Shipping issues USPS didn’t scan my package

Hi guys.  Just wanted to share and check with anyone who has been in a same situation before. I had scheduled a pick up from my residence with USPS. The mailman picked up the package but didn’t scan it. It’s been since April 16 and still no info available beside that USPS is awaiting package. I am in touch with a buyer and he/she didn’t get it yet. I had file a claim, but no luck yet. I went to my local post office yesterday and they told me to give it a few more days. Would you issue refund or wait few more days? Please, if anyone could relate and give me an advice. Thank you!

@mrsassi This is exactly the reason why I will not let go of my package until that scanner gun comes out to scan my package. It's the only protection a seller has. You cannot prove that you shipped the item without that scan. Do not refund until your buyer opens an item not received case. That will buy you a few more days but then you will have to refund, unless you get lucky and it arrives during those few days. Lesson learned for next time, always get that scan or drive it yourself to your post office for that scan. Best of luck to you....
