I am selling multiples of the same item in the same listing. I want to charge a higher shipping charge for the first item (or if they only order one), and a smaller shipping charge for each additional item. Why is informationon how to accomplish this so difficult to find? Is this option only available to professional sellers?
Thank you for your help.

In the listing form when I have a listing with multiple quantity available... I set a flat shipping fee and another box pops up underneath to set the amount for additional items.
It should be available for all sellers. I don't have a store subscription or anything.

Hello CrazyStuff - Thank you for your reply. Here is a screenshot of my shipping page - which looks nothing like yours. I put the quantity in the price section, why is the shipping section not recognizing that I have multiple items? When I enter the flat shipping rate there is no second box that appears to enter another shipping amount. I tried checking the "I don't know the package details" but that didn't help. What is going on?

P.s. - Do you have to use the 'Business Tool' option to access what I want to do? I don't see why something as simple as this could be so complicated....Thanks

It looks like you're using the quick listing form. There should be a link on the listing page to change to the advanced listing tool, which will look like crazy's screen shot.

Yes, thank you, TooMuchStuff, I just realized that just before I saw your post. I always thought using the "professional tool", which, I guess, they also call the "advanced tools", cost extra. Maybe they changed things so everyone can access it now...? Thanks again to both you and CrazyStuff.

Using the advanced tool does not cost extra but I'm not sure how to change from the other tool. Have you tried going into sellers hub and created a listing from there?
It makes no sense that sellers aren't allowed to add on extra shipping on the quick listing tool but when I tried using it I couldn't figure out a way to do it either.

Hi - I already had part of the quicklist page filled out. At the very top of page it should say something like : "switch to professional or advanced tools" . It will keep everything you already filled out which was nice. I was then able to access many more tools and add the extra shipping charge I wanted for the multiple items. It was actually easy once I knew how to get to the advanced form. Let me know if you still need any more info/help.
Also, I was using an actual laptop computer; not my cellphone. That might make a difference?
