Hello, eBay community, I'm a novice at selling on eBay.
I shipped the pkg. on 1/13/22 and got the payout on 1/14/22, eBay deducted their fees and the eBay shipping label amount that I printed from their payout but the shipping charges that the "buyer" paid were not included in the payout.
Can someone tell why? Is there a waiting period for those buyer shipping charges to be payout to my account? Do I need to change anything in my account?
Thank you.

Thank you, Ken, everything is clear to me now, after I revised and calculated all the figures with your insight, I knew that eBay had deducted the shipping cost but somehow, I thought that the USPS was also going to charge me for the shipping label, my inexperience showing!!!
Thanks again.

Ebay took the money you were given for shipping and used it to pay for shipping the item to the buyer.
You don’t get it back.

Yes, when you bought the shipping label, they took those funds out of the payment you received.

Here are the numbers: (Payout was $37.68 and the shipping label was $9.93)
When I listed the item there was an option to ship it USPS "Ground" ($17.90) which I chose for a fixed price to all locations in the USA for the 3lb box but when I sold the item that option was not available so I chose Priority Mail for $9.93.
- Item price$36.88
- Shipping and handling$17.90
- Fees based on$54.78
- Total fees for item
- Final Value Fee-$6.87Variable percentage • Toys & Hobbies categoryRate for $0.00 - $7,500.00$54.78×12.55% =-$6.87

That all adds up perfectly.
Item ($36.88) + shipping ($17.90) paid by buyer = $54.78
Subtract eBay fees of $7.17
Subtract the cost you paid for the shipping label $9.93
Balance = $37.68
Payout = $37.68
You received the $17.90 (minus eBay fees) that the buyer paid for shipping. eBay subtracted the $9.93 that you paid for the label. Which part of it doesn't make sense to you @osky33?

I have another issue. I didn't use the Ebay shipping label instead I just took the item to post office and paid the shipping cost myself (because I thought the actual shipping cost would normally more than the ebay shipping label ). Now, I see Ebay only sent the payout of the item, NOT the shipping cost paid by buyer, how do I recoup the shipping cost that I paid for this transaction ?
Thanks for any response.

The mods will probably close this thread as you resurrected an old thread but if you did not use ebay shipping ebay would have sent you the full amount the buyer paid, less the buyer paid tax and less ebay fees. I'm guessing that you are not accounting for the fees when you look at your payout. If you click on the order details of that sale and scroll down, it will show the breakdown of what you received.
If they close this thread and you have more questions, please start a new thread.
