Shipping Question...How is this possible??

Four times I tried to purchase cat food from 4 different sellers on eBay, and three of them cancelled my orders citing that USPS, UPS and FedEx will not ship to my address.  All sellers are listed in US cities.  The other one said I requested a refund which was not true.

Just had a back and forth with the fourth seller and they keep insisting that FedEx will not let them purchase a label to ship to me.  I contacted FedEx directly at the 800 number and was told there's no reason why the seller can't ship to me, my zip code is in their system.  Seller refunded me, didn't want that, citing problem with my shipping address which, again, is not true.

Can anyone make me understand??

So, why would three sellers come back with the same reason for not shipping?

Re: Shipping Question...How is this possible??

I would say, maybe the format of the address is a little bit twisted.

I would suggest you go to Google, put "USPS address look up" and get into their site to check your address.

You may find that your official address is slightly different than what you put their.

Use their suggested correct address if their suggestion is a slight twist.

Best.

Re: Shipping Question...How is this possible??

My only guess is they have a problem. What that problem is only those sellers know. They just don’t seem to want to sell to you.

Sorry this is happening to you. I have no answers to your issue. Move on find another seller or shop locally for your cat.

ETA …they may have been put off by the negative feedback you left for other sellers. That’s my best guess.

Re: Shipping Question...How is this possible??

Check your address listed on eBay.   Is there a P.O. Box in the 1st line and a street address in the 2nd line?  (that'll stop a FedEx/UPS label).
Do you have too much info in the lines? (over 40 characters, or city in the wrong lines).

Or is the same business, just running a bunch of different seller ID's....dropshipping from Amazon?   That's possible and they are just out of stock.

Are you somewhere other than the Lower 48 states?

They shouldn't be put off by the negative feedback if the Seller gives false info.  (I.e. I wanted refund.  Problem with an address there's no problem with.)

Re: Shipping Question...How is this possible??

The last one you left negative feedback is dropshipping and their supplier might be out of the item.

Look at the sellers feedback and find one that isn't dropshipping.

Have a great day.

Re: Shipping Question...How is this possible??

I'm going with drop-shipping and out of stock in all those instances.

Problem with buyer address does not get a defect. Cancel OOS is a serious defect for a seller.

Re: Shipping Question...How is this possible??

Sellers can read negative feedback...sometimes it's best not to say anything. I would actually change the feedback if you could to something like "..." or nothing at all....I think there is a timeline a buyer can change feedback. I looked up your feedback right away and there it is...feedback left to buyers. And the 2 feedbacks were rather long.

Re: Shipping Question...How is this possible??

Can I ask how you found out that when they said they're in PA?

Is there a way to tell if a seller is drop shipping?

Re: Shipping Question...How is this possible??

There is no P.O.  Box for my address.  Never used a P.O. Box and I'm in NJ.

You know, redlinear, the information you provided me helped a lot.   Got me thinking, and, after some research, I think, but am not sure, I found the issue.  I just got off the phone with eBay and they're looking into what I think the problem is.   If it turns out to be the problem, I will try to have the negative feedback removed because it wouldn't be a problem on the seller's or my side, but on eBay's side and the seller definitely doesn't deserve negative feedback for something that was beyond their control.

On the flip side with the feedback, one needs to understand that it's very frustrating to find 3 sellers won't sell to you because they say there's a problem with your address, but when you check there isn't and when you ask them questions, they kind of dance around it.

Two were in Pakistan. Little doubt that they are drop shipping.

The seller's feedback history shows their country of registration.  Both of the sellers that you left negs for are registered in Pakistan.

A buyer can revise their negative feedback if the seller sends them a formal "Feedback revision request" within 30 days after the feedback was left.
