Shipping Method has changed from when I listed item

Lately, when I go to do my shipping and click on the "purchase shipping label" option, the method I assigned to the item does not appear...usually USPS priority Flat rate envelope shows when the method I assigned was UPS Ground for instance.  I have to through many hoops to get the method I actually assigned to the item in place and then purchase the actual shipping.   Is it not true that only the method you assigned when you listed should show or does it always allow you to change it.  I have been away from ebay for a couple of years and this never happened to me before. "feature" or "Bug" or am I doing something wrong. It happens every time except when the only method offered is USPS 1st Class. Go figure. Thanks Arleen ..appreciate the help.

The last couple items you sold had USPS Retail Ground as the shipping option and you can only buy it at the PO counter, not online.

eBay has been slowly eliminating the ability for sellers to purchase parcel select ground shipping labels through the eBay website. Usually Priority online rates cost about the same, so most of the time there's no reason to go with a slower service.

If you need to purchase a parcel select shipping label online you can go to paypal.com/shipnow or pirateship.com - if you need to purchase a retail ground shipping label, that can only be done at the retail counter. Parcel Select and Retail Ground are essentially the same service, except one can only be purchased at the post office and one can only be purchased online.

To add a little bit more clarity to my above post:

Because you can offer a USPS ground on the listing, but you can't purchase the label through eBay, the shipping label page defaults to Priority Flat Rate Envelope. It would make more sense to default to calculated Priority shipping, but that's not how eBay set things up.
