Has anybody experience a rise in shipping label cost

In November, 3035, the USPS announced a "temporary" increase in prices.

Have always considered myself forward thinking, LOL.

Yes that was a typo, it's Nov. 2025.  (That's what happens when you get up to let the dog in and drop your coffee mug on your bare foot.)

Yes, every year and sometimes more than once in a year prices go up. 

Gasoline cost 39 cents a gallon when I first started to drive ... back in the dark ages.
