Shipping Delays

I noticed ebay has shipping delay notices on their site but they are leaving a standard 4-7 day shipping estimate. This is causing issues with our buyers. They will email on the last day of the estimate to let us know they have not received it. We try to explain that due to Covid19 and the previous holidays, there is a huge delay at the Post Office. Some are understanding and some want immediate resolution. I understand that three weeks seems like a long time but it is out of our control. Even our priority shipments are being delayed incoming and outgoing. How is everyone handling this? Has anyone asked ebay to extend their shipping estimates to accommodate these delays? We have already refunded someone their purchase price for an item that is 3.5 weeks out for delivery because we feel it is good business practice but can't keep justifying refunds on all items due to delays out of our control. Most of our stuff is shipped 1st class mail so we do not have tracking to provide to the buyer. The items are lower priced and we can not justify $3 shipping on some of these items. Anyone else having these issues or have suggestions? For now, we have removed a lot of our lower priced items.
