Shipping Cost Estimate

When I use eBay's shipping calculator, it says my package should cost $1.40. When I use USPS's shipping calculator, it says my package should cost $1.40. When I try to print a shipping label, it charges me $3.01. The package is 3 Oz, 1" x 6" x 9", shipping first class. It's going from Delaware to New York City. Can anyone explain?

$1.40 is the cost for a flat. $3.01 is the cost for a package. You'll want to ship a package.

When you use the eBay calculator and when you select the package type in the listing form, make sure you have package selected.

You're right. I accidently picked "large envelope", when listing the item.
