Shipping Address Error

So I am a buyer, who has been tryin to order this one item from different sellers. But I always get refunded with them telling me there was an error with my shipping address. I know that one of them uses USPS. I have double checked my address it’s correct, and I have successfully order item from sellers who use USPS before. I don’t know what the problem is?

Shipping Address Error

It may be that the seller has had an inventory 'oops' or does not wish to sell at the price an auction resulted in and so this 'problem' is alleged in an effort to avoid a seller defect. I think that happened to me a few months ago.

Shipping Address Error

@oluwadmust_0

The problem is that there are many SCARED and close-minded sellers on this platform.  They see you have a FB score of 3 and just joined a few days ago.  So these sellers are making assumptions about you and refusing to sell to you.

This kind of garbage should not be permitted here, we don't need ignorant sellers as it just degrades the whole platform.

So what you need to do is try this link to validate your address, might be some adjustments that need to be made?

https://www.ups.com/address_validator/search?loc=en_US

Also go here and make sure the addresses you have on file with eBay are correct.

https://accountsettings.ebay.com/profile

Make sure that first address is correct then, find  the Addresses on the list at left and click on that.  There are three address "areas" shown. Click each one and make certain they are correct and comply with the"official address" when you did the above search.

If your address is correct then the sellers messed up and need a 'reminder'.

You need to report these sellers for violating eBay rules.  Go here:

https://www.ebay.com/help/action?topicid=4022

Go to the bottom of the list and click on   "The seller has violated one of eBay’s policies"

On the next page select 'other' and fill in the seller's name and the text box.  Say something like - Seller canceled my order falsely claiming "something wrong with buyer's address."  I believe selecting this is a violation of policy, my address entered at checkout IS valid.  So it appears seller used that falsely to avoid selling to me or because the item was out of stock.

Ebay will never tell you any action they take against any other member (too much liability) but don't think that your report is in vain.  It will matter and eventually help weed out bad sellers.
