Hello there. The question above may be obvious but it's pretty complicatted...
First, i'm kinda new to eBay.. just want to make that clear.
So on November 24th last month, i've bought a 12 month Xbox Live Gold card "sealed" for $40 from a seller. The seller has positive reviews (over 16K) too so sadly I trusted it. I would LOVE to show who the seller is but I don't know if that's allowed here (other forums call it naming and shaming".
Here's the thing... when I bought the item, I bought it a guest (huge mistake). Was fustrated because I couldn't figure out my old account password.
Anyways... a week or 2 later, the package FINALLY came... 3 days late... wow.
When I opened the small package, i've noticed something strange... the Xbox Live card was in Spanish... Not English. I didn't really care at first (I shoudl've).
Here's another mistake I've made.... there was instructions about how to redeem the Xbox code. It wanted me to reddem the code on the official Xbox website and not the console (due to Microsoft's subscription card redemption process). Due to me being very excited, I simply ignored the instructions and redeemed the code on my Xbox One console.
And of course, the code doesn't work due to "Purchased from another region; contact seller". At this point, I was just furious.
So on eBay, I requested a refund. Later (checked on my email), the seller has replied and apologized for the mess. What they wanted me to do is to simply type the code so I can get a refund... wanted me to click "see request details" to send them the code for a refund and guess what?
The 'see request details' link doesn't work..... it keeps saying "We couldn't process your request because of a technical issue. Please try again". I kept trying and trying and nothing is happening. Why is that? My guess is because I purshased the item as a guest and not with a ebay account.
So i had no other coice but to contact the seller on their main page. I contacted them on the refunds section questions and told them about it and demanded a refund... when they replied, it seemed that they didn't want to.
All they replied is the same instructions on how to redeem the code which i've already done a hundred times...
So i decided to reply to them again and say to either give me another new code that is US and it WORKS, or give me refund... so far... no replies. ALSO, I evan gave them my screenshots for proof so I wouln't let them think i'm lying or something.
What should I do? Is there another way to reuqest a refund without facing errors? Also, on my eBay acccount, what's worse is that the Xbox Live card is not even in my Purchased history too (again I bought the card as a guest) so it makes it hard to request a refund.
What should I do? wait another day for them to reply? Take action? Send another message to them? Also what's worse is that on their reviews, they've been getting a lot of negative reviews for the past few days because other customers are having the same problems as me (code not work due to being purchased in a different region). Again, I would love to send you guys a link to their page but I don't know if it's allowed. If so, i'll gladly do so...
Help is very much appreciated. Heck i was even cnsudering just moving on... but it's best to seek other help as much as pssoible. Thanks.
PS... here are the screenshot's i've taken for proof... i don't have the pic of my Xbox One but it says that the card was purchased from another region and contact the seller.Xbox website...
The "see request details" option for a refund not working

How did you pay for it. Did you use Paypal?

Did you try entering the code on the Xbox web site like the instructions said or just your console?

Did you file a SNAD complaint with eBay?

I think he did, but it's hard to follow all that. The pertinent part:
"So on eBay, I requested a refund. Later (checked on my email), the seller has replied and apologized for the mess. What they wanted me to do is to simply type the code so I can get a refund... wanted me to click "see request details" to send them the code for a refund and guess what?

So if I'm reading this right, he did open SNAD but the link to see the request details won't open for him.
Normally, I would tell him to go to the resolution center by clicking on the link at the bottom of any eBay page to see the status of the request. But I really don't know if buying with a guest account makes a difference.
He has two options as I see it. Either call eBay and give them the item number and transaction number and if a return has really been opened, ask them to escalate it, or file with Paypal.
But can you sell those accounts on eBay? I thought they were restricted.

Yes I have.... many times. I redemmed the code FIRST on my console though... not the website. Still it doesn't work.

If you cannot get the Not as Described because you purchased as a Guest then call eBay & explain the situation. Go to the Help area at the bottom of the screen and go through all of the options until you get an actual phone number. I would post it but the bots flag any phone numbers and accuse me of posting my contact info (they don't recognize theirs).
If that doesn't work, contact YOUR card company and file a dispute over the transaction.
