Selling with Free shipipng

"back in the day" ebay was offering certain perks for having free shipping. I don't quite remember what they were (maybe TRS+ or possibly account protections or guaranteed delivery)

Whatever it was, i can't seem to find that info any more so i am wondering if there are still any perks or requirements for qualification to a program or protection that are attached to offering free shipping.

It seems that more and more sellers are NOT offering free shipping and I am wondering if that isn't even a consideration any more. In fact i think it might be hurting me because my items are slightly higher because i have shipping costs built in and maybe customers aren't as sensitive to that aspect any more.

To get the Top Rated Seller plus badge you need to have 1 day handling and offer free (seller pays) 30 day returns. 
Has nothing to do with free shipping. 
With TRS plus you get 10% off FVF

yeah that is what i am seeing, but there WAS a free shipping qualifier for SOMETHING on ebay and i am not sure if it is still a thing or not. Can't seem to find anything on it

I offer free shipping on all of my listings. I don’t receive any perks for that.

Free shipping message

The free shipping message lets buyers know when they can expect to receive their item and that they won't have to pay for delivery. We'll automatically add a free shipping message to your listings whenever you meet these requirements:

• Both you and your buyer are located in the 48 contiguous US states
• We can estimate the item's delivery date as 4 business days or less based on your handling time, the delivery service you've offered, your location, and the buyer's delivery address
• You offer free shipping as your first (default) shipping option
• You don't offer local pickup or freight as your first (default) shipping option
• The listing isn't in Classified Ad format

How to qualify for a free shipping message:

• Offer free delivery using a shipping service that will arrive in 4 days or less
• Offer same-day or 1-day handling
• Upload your item's tracking details when using tracked shipping

If eBay determines that your listing qualifies and you meet your handling time, we will remove any negative or neutral feedback left by the buyer regarding late delivery

This late delivery coverage does not protect your late shipment defects, and your listings can be deactivated from the program if they fall below the performance requirements.

Free shipping gets an auto 5 star on the shipping dsr which when it was initiated was an amazing perk since at that time dsrs counted as defects.  Now it's not as much of a benefit.  

Free shipping also puts you in the possibility of fast a free some would find that a perk some wouldn't.
