Sellers from China sending packages to different address from what is on file in Ebay and Paypal

Hi,

I ordered some findings (ear wires, clasps, loops, etc) for jewelry making from sellers in China and I noticed for the last week or so, that the tracking # shows delivered to a random destination in the United States, and nowhere near where I live. My address on file in Ebay and PayPal is correct, and has always been, confirmed both online and via phone call with Ebay and PayPal. I have a few outstanding items, which I've opened up cases for in the resolution center and Ebay is scratching their heads about this as well since they have my correct address on file and see that the delivered to address is different.  One seller responded saying that to save shipping costs, they send lots of packages together and it will eventually arrive.  This leads me to believe that they have a chosen sorting facility in various places in the US where they affix a new label on  it and mail to buyer. I did receive one package that was rerouted like this a few days ago, but the tracking # doesn't match what Ebay has. There was an insert so I was able to match it with one of the rerouted items. 

Has anyone else experienced this?

They are probably sending full shipping containers to a US distribution center where they unload, break down, and resend to final address.  You'll probably get you items eventually. Reason #6 why I don't buy from China.

That makes sense, and I won't even ask what reasons #1 - 5 are.. lol!.. Appreciate your time. Thank you.

Probably some form of freight forwarder solution whereby they ship bulk to a distrubution centre, that then re-ships the domestic parts. Very confusing for buyer if the tracking numbers change, and is most likely slow.

On the other hand it does save shipping costs, so you will end up paying less for the item.

Have you found out what is going on with your issue? I'm having the same problem. I have never had this problem before, but, now I have had 5 or 6 misdelivered packages. The items show up about a week later (sometimes with other items I purchased from same seller). The post office says it's a scam but the condition the post office is in makes me wonder. Thanks for your help.
