Seller trying to trick me with shipping?

I added three items (cans of fudge) yesterday afternoon to my cart and requested a total. I requested a total because the items specify "Each additional item GBP 1.00".

When requesting a total I got the error message that the seller did not accept combined shipping. The items were now listed as bought but unpaid for. I immediately (within 5 minutes) sent the seller a message to explain what went wrong and has been waiting for a response. Now, almost 24h later, I got the message "Your order has been dispatched. Please Pay". It's an automated message, so no reponse from the seller of any kind.

The seller is not a big one, only about 60 transactions. But I don't know what to do at this point? Do I just not pick the items up when they arrive at my post office, so that they are automatically returned? I have sent a couple more messages to the seller today but it's been an hour and no reply. The seller is obviously awake as they just marked my items as dispatched.

Seller trying to trick me with shipping?

Well, things worked out. I got a panicked message from the seller apologizing and offering a discount equal to the added postage. Everything is well that ends well! I have to receive the items still, but have yet to have any transaction fail after 15 years here.

I doubt the seller shipped your fudge off without you paying.

...and if they did, score.

Ebay isn't for everyone...as much as ebay wants it to be
