Seller sold me faulty items, Ebay has not helped

So I purchased a mountain bike for $299, it was terrible. Plastic parts in the mechanism. Wrong spellings on the frame. Seat cannot be assembled. Back and forth for a month now with seller who will refund when they receive item back but will not pay return shipping. I was under the impression they had to if the item was faulty. Eventually got ebay to step in but all they did was close the case. The return shipping from Melb to NSW is $241, Post office will not accept large items. I cannot email or get to speak to ebay personally, this is rediculous as this case is not closed. Been using ebay for over 20 yrs now. This may chane things. Does anyone know where I can speak to or email ebay service team as Im just going round in circles on the help options

You may want to post the on the AU website boards as thing may be different there. Here, in the US, if you opened a NAD case, the seller would have been responsible for return shipping costs.

Your mistake was going back and forth the with the seller for a month. When you have a problem like this, you contact the seller once, outlining your problem and what you expect them to do about it. If they do not respond with a satisfactory solution, you start the return/refund claim on eBay.

My only suggestion now is that you go to your payment source and file a dispute. PayPal if you used them, or your credit card co.
