Hello,
I'm trying to help my mom get refunded $57 she paid for a Madoat mini air conditioner she purchased on the 9th of May, it shipped quick, recieved in 2 days...but they couldnt get the water tray door to open up...so they requested a return label on the very same day, on the 11th..it took them 3 days to email it. They got it shipped out on the 16th. But they haven't heard from anybody since then. They ignored several of her messages. How should we go about handling this?

If your mom opened a return request, the seller has 6 business days to issue a refund once he gets the item back. If he doesn't, you'll have the option to ask ebay to step in

You use the Resolution Center. 

 

When your mom (or you) opened a "SNAD" (Significately Not As Described) or "INAD" (Item Not As Described)* case in the Resolution Center in the first place, it opened a "case." The seller had a specific length of time to send you the return mailing label (at his/her expense). When the tracking number on that mailing label indicates the seller has received the item, s/he has a specific length of time to process the refund. If they don't, you can ask eBay to step in.

 

Here's the eBay page giving more details. Expand at the "plus" sign where it says, "You received the wrong item, or it arrived faulty or damaged."

If this is not the procedure you followed, DO IT NOW! You have only 30 days for recourse through eBay. You do, however, have 180 days to seek a refund through PayPal.

 

 

*SNADs and INADs are the same thing. People use either acronym.

 

P. S. What DOES the tracking detail say about the location of the package?

There is no reason to contact eBay if the item isn’t delivered back to the seller. They won’t refund your mom yet. As I said above, you cannot get eBay involved until it’s been 6 business days since the item was delivered back to the seller.

Sorry for this late reply,

I dont quite understand how to do all that, TBH lol

But yeah it still reads that it's "In Transit", SMH

So Paypal will refund me?? I think that's my only option at this point O_O How would I do that? Guess I can just google.

it doesn't say much at all, on the Ebay page anyways..should I check UPS site or where?

Also I should mention she got a weird email from Paypal on the same day of purchase, reading somebody changed her password. But it wasn't changed. I made a post about that earlier last month. That has never happened before.

So I enterted the tracking number on UPS site Destination: SAINT ANNE IL 60964
But the seller is from Summerville, South carolina

It's possible the item is just taking an extra long time to get delivered, we're just frustrated they cant communicate with us.

I have no idea what the address was. She requested the return label on the 12th got it two days later..shipped back on the 16th. Im looking at the package receipt rn
