Seller not claiming payment in paypal

I recently bought a camera lens and paid for it right after I won the auction. Waited 7 hours and checked my PayPal and it says that the seller needs to create a paypal account to accept my money? I’ve contacted the seller but there has been no reply, and there’s a cancel button for the payment, so should I cancel? A bit scared that I’m going to get scammed.

Theres a possibility that the seller has a wrong or a new email listed with their paypal account. So they may not even see your payment as you paid and it's in limbo until accepted. It does happen but only way to know is seller needs to respond to you on ebay. Do they have other sold items? Recent feedback as a seller as then this would seem odd. If no response in few days then yes cancel payment
