I purchased a ballistic vest in error
immediately after the discovery which was minutes later I contacted the seller in St. Petersburg Florida thru contact the seller tab i Was told that order could not be canceled
the seller has no return policy and thru long conversation to try and resolve I got no where and it turned nasty
when box arrived I refused and sent it back
I tracked it thru usps all the way back last scan was out for delivery in st Pete but seller stated he didn’t get it
usps is not sure what happened because they can’t do their job properly but that’s another story
I’m certain seller got it back it’s been about 10 weeks
There is several buyer protection options which I had to employ so I was refunded in that way but I’m certain it was returned and seller never issued a refund
I was told by seller he didn’t have my payment info to process and type of discount or refund which is a lie
THIS SELLER IS A CROOK

you are not supposed to make a listing to name and shame a seller but that is what you have done

Could one say your fake listings shaming the seller are the definition of "going ballistic"?

A buyer can cancel an item after purchase. The seller can decide whether to accept cancelation.

Look, sorry to have to tell you but you messed up in what you did! Please don't shoot the messenger! 😇
The point is that eBay has a Money Back Guarantee (MBG) and both you and the seller appear to not understand how that works. The MBG is one of the most protective for a buyer of any online site.
The seller should not have 'forced" the issue - when you asked to cancel the sale, they should have done so.
When they didn't cancel the sale, you should NOT have refused the package. When you refuse a package, you lose the Protections under the MBG. Instead, when the item is received a buyer could go to the Resolution Center and file a case for a return. There are "remorse" reasons for a return and in those situations where a seller has a 'no returns' policy, a seller is within their rights to refuse a return. However, if a buyer selects a reason that is a 'not as described' reason, then the seller IS required to pay for return shipping AND issue a full refund. Most sellers with 'no returns' policies don't understand the MBG and their responsibilities of what to do when returns happen - that their 'no returns' policy gets over-ridden by the MBG. They fight the return and often eBay refunds the buyer from the seller's funds and does not require a return. Seller suffers a MAXIMUM LOSS - loses item and the money. So this is why it makes no sense for a seller to "force" a sale.
At this point you could try opening a Case in the Resolution Center (link at bottom of this page) or contacting CS. Please point the CS reps to the emails where you asked the seller to cancel and they refused and shipped the item anyway. I suspect you will at least get a courtesy refund from eBay or they will refund you from the seller's funds.
Next time when you get in the middle of something like this, please come here and ask FIRST! We see too many buyers who "think" they are doing the right thing, only to mess up and lose MBG protections. Avoid that - ask for help here!
Good luck!

Had you not refused delivery, you could have used eBay's MBG. I'm glad you had another option to get your refund, but sad that this seller had this dumb luck... sold it to you then got it back to resell to another. Oh, well...

RE; I purchased a ballistic vest in error
I am wondering how it was bought it in error? Even with buy it now, you have to confirm that you want to buy it in the next step.
